My son turns one in a week. I don’t really want to dwell on that sad fact right now. I’m hanging on to his last bit of babyhood before he starts walking and turns into a toddler.

People frequently ask me if he’s walking yet and I’m happy to say he’s not. Been there, done that, no thank-you, I can wait.

Here’s my second video love letter (first to my son) talking about his life since he’s learned how to cruise around, and my reluctance towards his first steps. I promise you won’t be disappointed. I think I may like this one even more than my daughter’s.
Warning: Don’t watch if you don’t want kids
Four videos in two weeks. I’m on a vlogging role here with no plans to stop. Though I am thinking I may not share every single video on my blog, so be sure to subscribe to my YouTube page to keep up to date. I’ve never had so much fun with home videos. Something as simple as the joy of watching my son play (and make a huge mess) in the morning is now something I can re-watch and remember years from now.

Take a moment this next week to record play time in your home.

Pampers is celebrating how baby’s love, sleep and play. I’ve been buying his diapers using Amazon Prime since before he was born, and Big T plays hard and comfortably while wearing his Pampers Cruisers now in sizes 3-7. Pampers would like to give away a one month’s supply of diapers and wipes to three of my readers. Just leave a comment to enter and one will be randomly chosen next Thursday April 3rd. After the contest has ended the winner should allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.

My oldest didn’t wall until 17monthd but was a speed crawler. My youngest started at 12.5 months. The pediatrician said the longer they crawl the stronger their backs and they will have better posture:)

What a sweet video! With our 1st I couldn’t wait for each milestone, and wanted my son to walk so bad… then our second came along and I realized how fast they grow up and was not nearly as excited for her to start walking… of course they do eventually but I learned to enjoy each milestone!

Aubrey says:

Aww, I know how you feel about the no rush to walk! BUT my 8 month old is already trying..I DISLIKE this part…and I think his development and motivation are so accelerated by his big bro…:( That being said, I’ve got 2 in diapers and we’re a pampers family all the way, so whatever a month’s supply is…we would certainly use it!! 🙂

Amber says:

I am ok if my youngest decides to wait too!

Keyalus says:

My daughter turns 1 next week and I can’t see her walking for another month at least. My son walked at 11 months. I am totally fine with her pace!

What a lovely video! Don’t tell anyone, but my eyes were a bit wet by the end. My baby is six months and I’ve been following your blog since I first discovered I was pregnant.

1stopmom says:

I can’t believe he is almost one! Time went by fast! Don’t worry, babies start walking when “they” want to.

Kari says:

Continue to be amazed with your talents!

Happy birthday to him! I’ve got 3 in diapers so… yeah this would be awesome.

AmyRyb says:

So sweet! My baby is 13-1/2 months and he’s not walking either. My first didn’t do it regularly until 16 months! I thought this one had a head start, but then he got sick and now he seems to have lost interest. I’d like to have the option for him to walk next to me, but I probably shouldn’t be in a rush since he’s my last!

Shakeena says:

Will be a great gift for my future nephew.

BOOMIE DIMAS says:

Love video. Mother of twins, need diapers pls

Crystal says:

My almost 1 year old isn’t walking yet either. He is our 4th child, so like you, I have been there, done that, and am not in any hurry to hear the pitter patter of little feet scurrying down our hall. I love him just being my little baby.
I love your blog, I’ve been following you since we were both pregnant this last time. I think I had google something about swollen pregnant feet when I found you.

Rebecca says:

I can’t believe he’s almost one! Winning diapers would be an amazing help with my little one.

Leah Sannar says:

Another amazing video love letter!! I think they are both beautiful and can’t WAIT to make my first one to my little man. 🙂

Sign me up for some Pampers action!! I wish mine was potty trained… but alas – we’re still in diapers. And they are NOT cheap man! I subscribed to your YouTube channel. Love it already. 🙂 Keep it up!

Kel says:

My oldest walked around 12-13 months, but my next 2 were closer to 14-15 months 🙂

We are on a cloth diaper break here with 2 in diapers (23 months and 9 wks) so a month’s supply of Pamper’s would be awesome!

Liz says:

So amazing… teach me your ways! 🙂

Kweenie78 says:

I give birth to my first child in August 2014, so the timing of this gift–if we’re so lucky– would be perfect! I’ve followed your blog quietly for a while now–I’m usually not one to post, but have always enjoyed reading the creative content. 🙂

Quiana says:

Beautiful letter! I notice a lot of #2s (or later) are slower to walk than the first child, but my brother, the youngest of 4 and the only boy, walked the earliest (around 9 months!). I’m interested to see what happens with my #2 . . .

Happy birthday!

We are expecting #3 in about 5 weeks. Our first two were both walking by 10 months, I am so with you on being okay with this Littles taking her time!

Karin says:

How sweet! I would love to record my kids more, I just wish I knew how to edit the videos. Will you be doing any posts on that?
I only use Papers swaddlers. They are the best!

JustnXander's mom says:

Too cute! I watched your video with my almost 11 month old son and he kept yelling “yay” as Big T crawled around! Boys are the sweetest!

Maureen says:

You are too talented. I need to start taking more videos. Thanks for the sweet inspiration!

Jessica says:

Very cute! Love the video! Your kiddos are too cute!

AC says:

I love looking over my videos on my phone of my children playing. They are on the computer too but I like I can watch them while I’m taking a break at work. Maybe someday I will be able to edit them down into a cute montage…

Kalie Kehler says:

I love your vlogs and your little ones are so cute!

Heidi says:

I love seeing how you edit videos for your children! Thank you for the giveaway too!

Amanda says:

I’ve never understood why people *want* their kids to walk early. They are so much easier when they are relatively stationary.

But you have to admit, they are cute when they start walking and look like drunk, little zombies.

Rebecca says:

Your video was adorable! My second daughter turns one this week and I am having a hard time losing my “baby”. I could use some free diapers though!

Eliud says:

Que lindo, gracias for sharing, first time papa here, and getting ideas for mi Lily.

Great idea! Please enter me in the Pampers giveaway 😀

Jenny says:

Happy Birthday to your little one! Thanks for entering me into the giveaway.

Such a cute video! I don’t want my son to walk yet either. He’s only seven months, but he’s been pulling up and practicing balancing non-stop for the past couple of weeks. It’s amazing how fast they learn and grow!
