Book release day when you homeschool means you rearrange your schedule so you can lounge and read all day with your 13-year old daughter and binge the new Chalice of the Gods book from a series you started reading when she was a baby, re-read aloud to her when she was 7 (she’s since gone on to re-read them a dozen times herself). I tackled the Kindle version while she listened on Audible (we get our signed hard copies on Friday!). We checked in every couple of chapters, broke for snacks, laughed about the parts we highlighted and predicted what was coming. Peak level parenting right here. 10/10 recommend. The book and the experience.

Yesterday Jayda asked to use my phone and we noticed she didn’t have to type in my passcode. “Did my Face ID think you were me?” We locked it again and she unlocked it. I turned it on myself.
