I Gave Myself a Fertility Massage

| |

This post has been a LOONG time coming! I’m always looking for things to try to help with having a child, and when I found The Natural Fertility Shop I was IN. LOVE. So much information, so many things you could try! If you click the fertility Info tab you’re taken to a whole other site that has natural fertility information about TTC and things on news, diet, herbs, etc.

I connected with Hethir Rodriguez, the owner and she introduced me to Self Fertility Massage™. I had heard of fertility massage before, but I wasn’t sure I’d go to a place to have it done err… Before I was trying to have a kid. Hethir hooked me up with a Self Fertility Massage™ DVD but I didn’t try using it until I was TTC. But now… I’m kind of kicking myself and wishing I did.

I think some people notice my blog and think I’m doing WAY too much too early, but I disagree. Why wait until you are six or seven months… Or a YEAR into TTC before you try something that could make a difference? What’s wrong with trying natural techniques before you hit “the year limit” and can see a reproductive specialist?

I knew that I was waiting until I was READY to have a baby… Emotionally, mentally, physically, and somewhat financially. But once you’re want that baby you want it NOW. I knew it could take awhile getting into it, but I wasn’t going to let that fact stop me from doing what I can to help the cause.

I popped the DVD in this week, and by the time I finished I was amazed at how much I had learned. I almost skipped over the “reproductive information” section at first cause at first I was thinking ‘Yea I’ve read Taking Charge of Your Fertility, and other books on the subject, yada yada I got it…’ But I watched it anyway, and learned from it. It was really cool having someone demonstrate visually where all of your organs were, and seeing it presented in a different way off-paper.

The DVD walks you through step-by-step how to give yourself a massage that helps: Increase circulation, break up adhesions, and support normal reproductive health.

There were a could of times on the DVD where it said not to do it if you’re pregnant, which made me thing ‘shoot! I so should have done all of this before I was even TTC!’

There’s also a really cool section on the DVD that walks you through self-pressure puncture. Like acupuncture but without the needles, and it shows you how to massage parts of your feet to help the function of corresponding organs in your body.

If you want more information about it, here’s a quick video presentation about the DVD.

Anyway, I love it! And I have an extra copy for one of you lovely readers! If you’re interested in learning another natural way to help with fertility I HIGHLY recommend this. There’s a lot more information on her site too, so check out Natural Fertility Info and in the comments, let me know either a product you like from the site, or a helpful fertility fact that could help another reader!

  1. Stopping by from SITS. Good luck with everything! I wholeheartedly agree with doing all you can early (without obsessing – well, as much as that is possible!) rather than waiting for the magic 1 year mark. It took us about 16 months to get to a successful pregnancy, but now we have a beautiful baby girl.

My only suggestions are to try to avoid caffeine as much as possible as it can be associated with early miscarriage. Also, I had scheduled a massage when we were trying and was told that it could also be associated with 1st trimester miscarriage (though my ob said that was crap).

    Good luck!

  2. The Fertility Cleanse looks very interesting…
We have been trying for 2 1/2 years and two miscarriages for baby #2. I would love to win this dvd and see if it helps!

  3. I like that website, I’ll have to explore it some more. But I would love a copy of the DVD or that Castor Oil Kit. Actually, from what I saw, there’s a lot that I would like if I had the money.

  4. That is really interesting! I will pass this info on.

But, please don’t enter me in your giveaway. Two babies in two years over here. I’ll send that stork your way in a hurry if I hear hide or hair or feather of him!

  5. Wow there is so much to learn about fertility! I’m kind of at the place you were when you started your blog. I want to start preparing for when I am ready to start TTC. I thought the fertility cleanse looked awesome, but I really want to watch the whole DVD!

  6. I just found your blog. People may say you do too much but i know from my own experience that infertility can overwhelm your life. i struggled to conceive my first son,my second made himself without any trying (6 weeks!) and now i have been trying for over a year for a third! I have PCOS and know that it is a struggle. Good luck!

  7. I like the wide array of products on the website, but am a bit dismayed at some of the info about endometriosis. As the former Education and Outreach Coordinator of the Endometriosis Association–and also a woman who suffered with endo for many years–I found the endo information incomplete and some of it misleading. To my knowledge, none of the products listed have been clincally tested to help or improve endo symptoms. Of course any improved nutrition is good, and supplements probably won’t do any harm. But endo is a serious systemic disease, requiring the input of an experienced health care provider. It cannot be self-diagnosed nor self-treated. And it takes time to treat, which may be of the essence when one is TTC. Please see http://www.endometriosisfoundation.org/ for more information.

All that said, I am TTC again (the “baby” is 19) and would love the chance to win the DVD.

  8. Appears surfing on the web over 3 hours now, even so never ever observed any appealing write-up for instance you. It can be fairly benefit adequate personally. In my view, in the event all net masters and people built good material when you almost certainly did, the web will probably be far more valuable than ever before.

  9. Hi I have been trying to conceive my second child since April 2013. I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy in May 2013 for which I had surgery to have my fallopian tube removed (as 2 rounds of methotrexate did not work to dissolve the pregnancy).

Ever since then I have been unsuccessful in conceiving and am also daunted by the fact that I turn 37 in a week… am scared that I will not be able to conceive again and I really would love to give my 4 year old son the gift of a sibling. Could you please point me towards any natural remedies that you think could help increase my fertility. I am in the process of having my fertility tests done so that I may proceed with IUI or IVF treatment if required but would prefer to use any natural remedies that may improve my chances of conceiving. Thanks much for your assistance in advance.

  13. Hmm it seems like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any helpful hints for rookie blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
