DIY Toddler Pajama Dress: What I’m Makin Monday
I finally got out of my sewing rut and threw together my first pillowcase dress/ pajama dress for Lil’ J.
She was SO excited to have a new dress for bed time. The fabric is knit and so comfy too. She picked it out at the store. She loves the “pink elephants.”
I adapted the pattern from this tutorial. I think the way I did it is a bit easier, and it’s toddler size measurements, so that could he helpful to some. I’ll share as soon as I get around to posting instructions. For now, here’s a sneak peek.
Whatcha think?

Oh my goodness how adorable!! Love the large over the shoulder bow tie!
I LOVE IT! I want to make one for me!!
I wish I knew how to sew! This is adorable. So is Lil J! She just looks so happy all the time and gets cuter and cuter with every post! I have 2 kids and this really makes me want another one. 😉
Lil’ J looks just like you. That’s what I think! Oh, and the pajama dress is adorable.
It looks like a regular dress. Maybe she can wear it out too!:) Her hair is growing. What a cutie!
Love it! Too cute to just wear as pajamas 🙂
Makes me wish I had a little girl too. You can never find cute clothes for little boys. It’s super sad I tell ya. My pretty much step-daughters are 9 and is a total tom boy and the other lives 3 hours away and she would be the one I would dress up.
Would it be possible to make without the big shoulder tie? I’m not sure how that’d work with a sleeping gown.
Great job. Im very jealous of your skills. I dont know how you do it all so well but keep it up! Doing great and little miss is gorgeous as ever.
Your new design is just so pretty im pretty sure i already mentioned that but its so perfect.
She’s too much. I love that elephant fabric.
I LOVE this! Can’t wait for the instructions! My daughter HATES footie pajamas, but she’s so tiny that I can’t find “big girl” pajamas in her size that aren’t almost $30 a pair! This would be perfect. 🙂
Awesome…..!!!!Love the dress!!!!!
I love your sense of style! I can’t wait to make one of this for my daughters. I think I would also make an adult version of this, something for myself. I bet this will aslo looks good on me.
I am curious to find out what blog platform you happen to be
utilizing? I’m having some minor security problems with my latest blog and I’d like
to find something more safe. Do you have any solutions?
