#8: My career – #ThirtyThankfuls

Words cannot express how thankful I am to be able to do the things I love and get paid for it. Not to mention most recently–Continue to do them from home.

I was a little girl when I decided I wanted to be a news reporter and some day… an anchor. My parents pushed me to go for it and never give up on my dream. And so I did. Then, when I turned in my notice a few months ago to spend more time with my kids, I worried my career could be over, but the opposite has proved true. Lately I feel like I’ve “been there done that” and I’m excited as my career is evolving.

It’s been a long and crazy ride with several ups and downs, but I’m so thankful for my job(s) and for the opportunity I have to pursue my dreams with my kids along side me.
